Rice Paddle Use and Care

To use, dip it in water to prevent rice from sticking. Gently mix or add seasoning such as EDEN Brown Rice Vinegar or Mirin where called for.

Warm water and soft sponge wash right after using to avoid rich starches hardening on paddle. Avoid soaps to preserve wood oils. Dry thoroughly to prevent cracking. Not dishwasher safe.

Rice paddles are honored in Japan as a symbol of passing wisdom and priorities from one generation to the next.
