Unlike brewed teas that are steeped and then the leaf discarded, with Matcha the whole leaf is consumed, completely whisked into hot water in the tea bowl.

Known as 'chawan' in Japan, handcrafted ceramic tea bowls are considered ideal for serving Matcha. Matcha bowls come in various shapes and sizes determined by the region and season. This one is good all-around.

Hand washing the bowl is recommended. Not dishwasher safe.
